A cross lapper conveyor belt serves a vital role in the textile processing industry, particularly within cross lapper machines. These machines are engineered to neatly stack multiple layers of non-woven synthetic fibers on top of one another. The process involves adding each layer at a 90-degree angle to the previous one, ensuring that the fibers receive varying orientations with each layer.

 

As the layers accumulate, the time taken for the cross-lapped fibers to exit the machine increases accordingly. With advancements in manufacturing efficiency, there's a growing demand for high-quality cross lapper belts. This demand stems from the need for greater speed and precision in aligning synthetic fibers.

 

Cross lapper belts come in various constructions, but they can generally be categorized into two types: smooth surface top or grip top. Ideally, these belts should be lightweight to facilitate faster machine operation. Additionally, they must possess lateral stability to prevent buckling as they traverse the width of the machine.

 

Installing a cross lapper belt can be challenging due to its considerable width, which can reach up to 2400mm, and its elevated positioning above ground level.
